Lesson 16 : UNIT 6 – THE NHS

Activities:

  4. Read and write: page 3. List arguments for and against NHS strike.

HOMEWORK: A bit of English every day.

  1. Use Streamglish (useful to improve your General Knowledge, your pronunciation, your listening skills, your vocabulary…)

  3. Watch this video, practise shadowing(i.e. repeating some chunks of sentences exactly like if you were Mr Sunak) and get ready to present the video.

HOMEWORK:

  2. For Friday 8th: Prepare an oral presentation of a piece of art by an English-speaking artist. It should be a work of art you have never studied (the main goal is to enrich your general knowledge). You will have to present its author briefly and then explain what makes it powerful.
  3. Reading : Text 1 – Create a list / mind map of 4 songs and the time period they are linked to + the message conveyed.
  4. BRING ALL YOUR BOOKLETS TO EACH LESSON : UNIT 4 / TRANSLATION / MOE / GRAMMAR
